Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

As always, if you find great things that you’d like to share then feel free to email me for inclusion in one of my weekly newsletters.

Sometimes it feels like PAs & EAs have gone out of fashion. I’ve heard people say that you’re old fashioned if you need an assistant.

But the reality is, if you’re a leader & are doing $25 per hour work, then that’s a complete opportunity cost for you. What could you be doing with that free time?

I often use the analogy of a cleaner. Why would I spend 3 hours of my time very weekend cleaning my house when I can pay a cleaner to do it? Especially when I don’t even life cleaning! (Although truth be told, being half-German I am really good at it 😊 )

With that spare 3 hours I can either do some of the work that I truly love & am great at, or I can use the time to pursue other passions – either way I am winning & I get to feel a whole lot better too.

You know when you do those things that you don’t like, you tend to get a bit grumpy? That’s why it’s important to Delegate & Elevate to the stuff you love & are good at.

So, it was interesting that these 2 articles popped up on my feed this week, because I have just employed a new EA / Integrator / Client Service person for the business.

Jen Lim started last week & will be responsible for looking after my EOS clients & leadership coaching clients in between sessions, as well as managing the bookings for the workshop & meeting room space & all the things that I shouldn’t be doing – email, travel bookings, calendar management – the whole lot… I’m going to finally let go!

I always used to have an EA so I know I can do it, however I also know it will be challenging at first.

And what it will do is free me up to do my Unique Ability work which is working with Business Owners & Leadership teams to improve their businesses & lives – yay!

Jen can’t come & join me until we are at level two so we’re doing a slow handover from my VA to Jen over the next few weeks. And we’ve already had our first level 10 meeting & it was awesome – so here’s to all the things we’ll be able to achieve together 🥂

In the meantime, these 2 articles talk about different things. Kelly talks about how you Delegate & Elevate whilst ensuring that you don’t sabotage delegation & Mark has an awesome video & article on how to maximise the meaningful things we should be working on as Visionaries & Integrators.

PS: My VA was also awesome – I just needed someone to be here to send things out, manage the client sessions etc – things that just can’t be done as easily virtually… And if I am honest, I do enjoy the company in person. However, if you want help & don’t mind them being virtual, then my go to Virtual Business Manager & Virtual Assistant Agency is –

Justine & the team do an amazing job. They’re based in NZ & will really look after you!

Can we get another dog? Can we? Can we?

Sound familiar? Maybe it’s your children? For me it’s my husband!

He wants a girl dog because when I went to Blenheim to pick up our last Schnauzer, I was supposed to be getting a girl & instead I came back with a boy, now known as Hermes 😉

Where am I going with this?

Well, it’s mental health week & I am sure, if you are like me, you have been inundated with mental health tips, so I am not going to share any.

Instead I want to share this article which I found fascinating.

We have always thought that having a pet was good for you – now it is scientifically proven!

Pets lower the level of cortisol, the ‘stress hormone’ & provide relief of depression, anxiety & social isolation. Some neurotransmitters, including oxytocin, serotonin and dopamine, have also been studied to identify how they are affected when we interact with our pets.

The article explains in a lot more detail all of these things, whilst reminding us that they are a lifetime commitment for the animal & a 15 year commitment for us & when you lose them it’s a massive loss, as we had recently with both Artemis & Zeus… But it was worth it!

It’s time to decide!

My favourite e-book is the Decide book by Gino Wickman.

Many leaders are frozen with uncertainty, which holds their companies back from achieving their full potential. Leaders struggle with two challenges when trying to make good decisions: making bad decisions, and taking far too long to make them!

This eBook will help you and your leadership team make better and faster decisions, by teaching you:

  • The four discoveries that lead to world-class decisiveness
  • The 10 Commandments of Good Decision Making
  • A simple and effective decision-making track that can be used by every team in your company
  • How to solve issues that have been lingering for days, weeks, months, and even years!

If you’d like to get a copy of this e-book then please let me know.

“Indecision, doubt and fear. The members of this unholy trio are closely related; where one is found, the other two are close at hand.”– Napoleon Hill

You can download this a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.
