Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… Some of them are original, most are things I have come across in my weekly pursuit of self-improvement & living a better life, through creating a better business. And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

BETTER BUSINESS

It’s ok to say no

Steve Jobs once said, “It’s only by saying ‘no’ that you can concentrate on the things that are really important.”

We’re often driven by numbers.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • Get more clients.
  • Get more revenue.
  • Bigger is better.
  • Go hard or go home.

But what if by doing this, you’re no longer aligned with your core values & your core focus? Then, that’s when it’s ok to say no.

This article from the EOS blog challenges you to ask the important question, “Is it really a success for my business to hit numbers if there isn’t value and quality behind them?”

BETTER LIFE

Say NO to poor sleep

If you have been following my LinkedIn posts, you will know that I always travel with my buckwheat pillow, even though it weighs 3.9kg & takes up half a side of a suitcase.

Why?

Because I say no to a bad night’s sleep.

I love my pillow & I never sleep well when I go back to a regular pillow. So, I got my first one of these several years ago & now I have 2 – one for travelling & 1 for home.

Why buckwheat? There are a whole bunch of reasons – check them out here & see if any resonate.

Maybe it’s time for a change?

FIND OF THE WEEK

Take control of your screen

This one doesn’t really fit in with the theme, except that you can easily block everything out with one push of a button, which is a bit like saying no to visuals. 😁

This little remote is my new favourite for presenting.

The remote has a strong aluminium frame, rechargeable battery, and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, this remote includes back/forward slide buttons, a virtual keyboard & a black-out screen feature to help you take full control of your presentations.

I don’t know how I feel about their look, but from reading the review, it could be a thing of the future. You saw it here first 😁

PODCAST OF THE WEEK

How saying NO makes you rich!

In the latest episode of Better Business Better Life, I sit down with entrepreneur Scott Rusnak to explore the strategies and tools that can help business owners live their ideal life.

The conversation delves into the importance of surrounding oneself with the right people, delegating and elevating tasks, and setting and achieving 90-day goals. The EOS VTO and planning tools are also discussed as ways to plan out the year with purpose.

The episode highlights the need for entrepreneurs to be selective about the opportunities they take on and to say no to those that don’t align with their values and goals.

Listeners will come away with practical tips and insights on how to create a business and life that truly aligns with their personal aspirations.
