Most of all I hope it gives you pragmatic inspiration & helps you on your journey to doing what you love, with people you love, making a huge difference, being compensated appropriately with time to pursue other passions – #TheEOSLife.

Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… Some of them are original, most are things I have come across in my weekly pursuit of self-improvement & living a better life, through creating a better business. And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

As always, if you find great things that you’d like to share then feel free to email me for inclusion in one of my weekly newsletters. I’m always looking for new & exciting things to share each week. BETTER BUSINESS

Prepare your business for an economic downturn.

We don’t know if there will be a recession or how deep or long the recession will be, but we do know that every 10 years, something goes wrong that affects the economy.

So if you’ve done the organizational check-up & know where you are, what can you control & what can you do to prepare yourself for it?

In this article, our EOS Visionary shares how he believes you can prepare for an economic downturn.

BETTER LIFE

Will you really stick to those NY resolutions?

We all do it. We set New Year’s resolutions & by the end of January, they are gone. Well, maybe we don’t all do it, but I certainly know I have!

This article is all about having old years’ resolutions.

We’re well past the 1st of the year, so you can’t do exactly as the article suggests, but the psychology from Benjamin Franklin is still good.

“You can enjoy the same success Franklin did if you start on your own schedule and treat self-improvement not as a goal with a starting date but as an ongoing “project.”

FIND OF THE WEEK

Sleep better, using music

You probably know already how obsessed I am with sleep. And I like to have background noise when I sleep, so I have tried many different speakers – in-ear buds, under-pillow speakers & even headband speakers.

I wanted to try headband speakers again, but the ones I was looking at were close to US$200 & I just couldn’t justify this if they weren’t going to work & be comfortable.

When I started researching again late last year, I came across an article that recommended these eye mask Bluetooth headphones. And at only NZ $22.00, what was there to lose?

It turns out they work really well for me – they’re comfortable & they hold a charge all night, but the bonus is that they block out all light & this has had a surprising effect on the quality of my sleep.

Plus, I found this cool podcast that does 8 hours of sleep music – lots of different versions to help you sleep better!

PODCAST OF THE WEEK

Better Business Better Life meets BBBL

In this latest podcast, I chat with Stuart Wilkinson, the CEO of Rightway Accounting. He is a fellow Brit & his company also has a podcast called Better Business Better Life, so we laughed about that. He even wore his T-shirt!

He had some great insights on making a difference & I think you’ll enjoy our chat 💖
