As we head into another week, I take great pleasure in sharing my curated articles, tips & tools in a short read that will hopefully give you a few ‘aha’ moments as well as some laughter or joy. Most of all I hope it gives you pragmatic inspiration & helps you on your journey to doing what you love, with people you love, making a huge difference, being compensated appropriately with time to pursue other passions – #TheEOSLife.

Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… Some of them are original, most are things I have come across in my weekly pursuit of self-improvement & living a better life, through creating a better business. And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

As always, if you find great things that you’d like to share then feel free to email me for inclusion in one of my weekly newsletters. I’m always looking for new & exciting things to share each week. And if you think someone else would like to receive the newsletter in their inbox, directly from my inbox (no newsletter apps used here!) then please let me know – debra@debrachantry-taylor.com

BETTER BUSINESS

Feeling a bit grinchy this Christmas?

After a long, often difficult year, you might be tired & fed up with the Christmas rush. It’s certainly how the Grinch felt if you believe this business tale.

According to EOS legend, the Grinch was an established Entrepreneur with a few issues.

The market loved his products, and his business grew rapidly. But he had one big problem: He worked too hard, even with a large staff that should’ve lightened his load.

Once he implemented EOS into his business, the Grinch could easily engage employees, lighten his workload, and drive better profitability. All he needed was clearly documented processes.

Even if you don’t live in a cave with a dog named Max, I bet you can get excited about a smooth-running, scalable, profitable business. A strong Process Component™ is one of the most important and often neglected keys to getting there.

So, if you feel a little Grinchy this year, you might have a process problem!

BETTER LIFE

Want to use the break to re-focus?

I highly recommend you take some downtime this Christmas holidays – I know I will be.

However, taking that time out can also be an opportunity to take some Clarity Breaks & ask some of the tough questions without the usual distractions.

I’ve included some of the questions you might like to ask above, but why not do the free Organisational check-up before you leave to help with these questions?

Not only is it free, but it gives you feedback on where you could strengthen your business & gives you free tools & frameworks to deal with the issues.

So, if you do it now (before you take a break) & get the free report, who knows what answers will get to come as you relax by the pool, at the beach or on your kayak journey?

FIND OF THE WEEK

Serious water bottles

As you know, I recently treated myself to a new car & I wanted some nice, new water bottles to go into the nice new water bottle holders.

So, I googled & came across these – Frank Green ceramic lined reusable water bottles.

They’ve been developed with a simple, honest approach to sustainability – to reduce single-use plastic waste by reimagining cups & bottles.

They’ve won a bucketload of design awards, but I liked the ceramic linking, so the water doesn’t end up ‘tasting’ of stainless steel & the fact that the lid is dishwasher proof, so you can sanitise it easily!

Best of all, you can fully customise them with your choice of lid & colours. You can even add a monogram (although I just found this after I have already received mine ☹).

So, why not treat yourself, or a friend, for Christmas?

PODCAST OF THE WEEK

How Your Upbringing Impacts Success

Did you know that your upbringing impacts success?

Richard Friesen believes that many of us have absorbed conflicting messages about money from our families, culture, communities, political filters, and media. This internalised cacophony of conflicting voices restricts our creativity, focus, and success.

Rich is a popular speaker on the psychology of money management, politics and personal transformation.
