As we head into another week, I take great pleasure in sharing my curated articles, tips & tools in a short read that will hopefully give you a few ‘aha’ moments as well as some laughter or joy. Most of all I hope it gives you pragmatic inspiration & helps you on your journey to doing what you love, with people you love, making a huge difference, being compensated appropriately with time to pursue other passions – #TheEOSLife.

Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… Some of them are original, most are things I have come across in my weekly pursuit of self-improvement & living a better life, through creating a better business. And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

As always, if you find great things that you’d like to share then feel free to email me for inclusion in one of my weekly newsletters. I’m always looking for new & exciting things to share each week. And if you think someone else would like to receive the newsletter in their inbox, directly from my inbox (no newsletter apps used here!) then please let me know – debra@debrachantry-taylor.com

BETTER BUSINESS

Are your big goals big enough?

It’s time we stopped thinking that our business has limitations and time to start putting our pipeline dreams into achievable goals. Stepping out of your comfort zone is the only way to help your business grow. Yes, it may make you uncomfortable and make you and your team worry about how to get there – but you won’t accomplish anything by staying in the same place and hitting those milestones along the way will give you plenty of reasons to celebrate!

Learn more about achieving results you thought were out of your reach, pushing your leadership team to take action and how to start envisioning what your business can become.

BETTER LIFE

Working from Home Like a Pro

Last week, I talked about WFA (Work from Anywhere), the upgraded version of WFH (Work from Home). But if you’re still WFH, that’s fine too. Justine Parsons, a good friend, has been WFH for over 20 years. So, she’s got some excellent tips to help you WFH like a pro. But these tips can help you WFA too.

My top 3 favourite tips from her are:

  1. Set and respect office hours
  2. Don’t have your work email on your phone
  3. Turn off all notifications for your work apps when you’re not at work

I talk about having a work-life balance, so these would be my top 3!

Safer Pets, Safer Families

As you know, I love animals and discovering that this charity exists simultaneously makes me happy and sad. Glad that there’s help for people trying to escape abuse, but sad that a charity like this needs to exist here. Suppose you need to become more familiar with Pet Refuge. In that case, they are a charity that provides temporary shelter and cares for pets affected by domestic violence, keeping them safe while their owners escape abuse. So, this charity gets a big, approved tick from Steve & me. AND Apollo and Hermes (of course!).
