Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… Some of them are original, most are things I have come across in my weekly pursuit of self-improvement & living a better life, through creating a better business. And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

As always, if you find great things that you’d like to share then feel free to email me for inclusion in one of my weekly newsletters. I’m always looking for new & exciting things to share each week. And if you think someone else would like to receive the newsletter in their inbox, directly from my inbox (no newsletter apps used here!) then please let me know – debra@debrachantry-taylor.com

BETTER BUSINESS

More agile than Agile?

Agile is a boardroom buzzword – no longer confined to software development, where it originally came from. You’re likely familiar with it, especially if you’ve worked in corporate.

This article talks about the core similarity between Agile and EOS – while agile refers to the ability to create and manage change within a project, EOS does the exact same thing on an organisational level.

Agile methods & practices ensure work keeps moving forward in a constantly evolving environment so that the project stays on track & delivers business value. Instead of being project-specific, EOS concepts & tools ensure the entire business is on track & gaining traction.

“I constantly am looking for new ways to describe the Entrepreneurial Operating System®. If I throw out terms like Level 10 Meeting™ or GWC™ to someone less familiar, I can see the panic in their eyes,” says Expert EOS Implementer™, Jonathan Smith. “But I promise you this: if you understand Agile, you can understand EOS.”

That’s one of the reasons why I fell in love with EOS. Although it sounds like impossible jargon at first, once it’s explained, you can’t forget it – it’s that simple.

As this article says, “Once you’ve run projects on Agile you can’t imagine not running them on Agile. We feel the same way about EOS.” Having extensively tried & tested both, it’s clear which one I can’t imagine business without.

BETTER LIFE

The best wheels you’ve ever had

If you’ve been reading my newsletter, you’ll know that I’ve been eagerly anticipating my very first overseas trip since Covid.

Now that travel is back on the cards, I love these July suitcases that are crush-proof & reliable. There’s a built-in USB-c charger & ejectable battery – an essential for business owners and/or tech geeks like myself! Plus you can personalise them with your very own custom monogram, free of charge for a limited time –

As you can see, I couldn’t resist this little feature!

Not only that, they have a free 100 day trial & a lifetime warranty – much like EOS’ proven process guarantee. I love how they are so confident in their product they have a guarantee for life.

I hope travel is on the cards for you in the near future! After what feels like a decade of being in lockdown & missing important moments with loved ones due to travel restrictions, we deserve it 😊

FIND OF THE WEEK

The platform that can turn into Business Gold

‘The world’s first book dedicated to the undiscovered goldmine of LinkedIn Pages’, this book is a fantastic start to understanding & utilising Pages as a powerful tool for organic business growth.

It caters to every level, whether you need an overview of all the tabs & buttons to start with or you’re an already established Page, interested in the inner workings of the LinkedIn algorithm.

One useful tip is that LinkedIn pushes your personal profile’s posts in roughly 10% of followers’ feeds, compared to only around 3% for posts from company Pages. So you really need to be proactive & consistent with quality content in order to grow engagement.

“Share information of value if you expect people to give up their time to read it. We come to LinkedIn, in part, to learn from others.” No wasting your Page’s potential with endless promotion of products & services! ‘Business Gold’ delves into quality content creation, as well as recommending 3 strategies & 8 tangible steps to growth.

If you’re after an easy, quick read that will no doubt upgrade your LinkedIn, you can find the book here –

You can also find more great content on co-author, Lynnaire Johnston’s LinkedIn –

PS: Ventell Ltd. is now officially Business Action & we’ve relaunched our LinkedIn Page to reflect this change! Keep updated with us at Business Action –

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

Whether we are following Agile, EOS or a different system altogether, it won’t work unless we do.

“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”
