BETTER BUSINESS

Why EOS may not be right for you…

Yes for someone who harps on about EOS all the time, you might wonder why I would want to tell you that it might not be right for you? It’s because I am so passionate about making a difference & I have learned that if it isn’t right for you then it isn’t right for me.

I love what I do, working with people I love so that they get the results they want.

I’ve been helping companies for implement EOS for over 2 years now. Most of my clients get amazing results  from implementing the system but the odd one just drops out.

It’s difficult to understand because the model & tools work for every privately owned businesses & even some bigger businesses (we have had huge success with Microsoft Partners & other divisions of listed companies), however for some businesses it just doesn’t seem to be a fit.

And in reality it is nothing to do with the business – it’s to do with whether the leadership team has the ability to commit to & truly follow the EOS process.

So, I love this article which very easily explains when EOS won’t be the right set of tools..

There are 5 main scenarios – do any of them resonate? And if none of them do, then let’s talk about how we can get EOS working for you!

BETTER LIFE

How do you ‘do’ gratitude?

If you follow me regularly you will know that I run a journal / planner (Panda Planner) & part of this is practicing gratitude. I also ADORE the Holstee manifesto – THIS IS YOUR LIFE – Life is Short!

I’ve shared before the merits of gratitude, scientifically proven, so it’s not all fluffy balls 😊

However, I know it’s sometimes tough when you want to find things to be grateful for – especially when things don’t feel so great (like throughout months of lockdown!) .

If you’re like me then in these times, you might find yourself writing the same things, day in, day out?

So I was thrilled when I found these from Holstee. They are gratitude cards that ask questions to inspire grateful living.

“This deck includes 100+ prompts to help you deepen awareness of life’s abundance and open you to the joy and transformative possibilities of gratefulness.”

They also do reflection cards, which are another great tool! Plus you get 10% off your first order 😊

FIND OF THE WEEK

3 questions to ask yourself about everything you do

I am a big fan of the number 3. You’ve probably heard my shopping list story – if not, then drop me a line I’ll happily share it.

It comes from the Franklin Covey work that shows that we, as humans in general, can’t deal with more than 3 things at once.

So this TED Talk caught my eye.  3 questions???

How you respond to setbacks is what defines your character, says Stacey Abrams, the first Black woman in the history of the United States to be nominated by a major party for governor. In an electrifying talk, she shares the lessons she learned from her campaign for governor of Georgia — and some advice on how to change the world. “Be aggressive about your ambition,” Abrams says.

This TED talk is a must see even if you’re not an American 😉

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

“No one who achieves success does so without the help of others. The wise and confident acknowledge this help with gratitude.” – Alfred North Whitehead
