Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… Some of them are original, most are things I have come across in my weekly pursuit of self-improvement & living a better life, through creating a better business. And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

BETTER BUSINESS

Time to reflect?

With only a week to go before Christmas is upon us, how are you feeling about the year that has been? How was 2021 for you? Was it everything you’d imagine it would be?

Or was it another roller-coaster year & you’re glad it’s nearly over? Are you looking forward to 2022 or are you worried about what it might bring?

Either way, there are some things that we just can’t change & some things that we can.

So, how can you focus on the things that you can change?

I have a favourite, simple tool that I use at the end of each year – it’s just 12 simple questions that you consider & answer, to set yourself up for an improved year next year.

PS: If you’d like to add to your fun Gin collection then Good George will deliver to Australia & New Zealand.

BETTER LIFE

12 Top Tips for the perfect Christmas

This year I haven’t felt very Christmassy ☹ I hope that by the time I knock off on Tuesday of next week, that I might be feeling a little more Spirit & a little less grinch… I’m not sure what happened but I suspect a shitty year & then finishing off the last 2 weeks with a full-on client calendar, has just meant I haven’t had any time to plan or get Christmassy?

Don’t know how you’re feeling but I needed some extra motivation!

We had out Christmas Drinks last night with clients, friends & colleagues so that was fun & it motivated me to see what I could do to raise my Christmas spirit.

So, I was googling tips for Christmas & found this little gem from 2018.

I just love the BBC – they always produce such great content… Although I may be a little biased with my British roots.

“Christmas is fast approaching, but there’s no need to panic. From now until Christmas Eve, Chris Evans will be taking Christmas tips from Breakfast Show listeners, as well as looking at the stranger side of the festive period, such as a man who looks after 180 reindeer.

But if you need a little more help, here are some handy hacks from Radio 2 guests and listeners – from getting your tree right to cooking the perfect dinner – you’ll be sure to have a festive period to remember.

To get you in the Christmas spirit, here are 12 ways you can maximise your yuletide joy and minimise the stress.”

It links to many different articles & shows – everything Christmassy 🎄

FIND OF THE WEEK

It’s just an electronic notepad

I had an unexpected windfall last week that saw me gifted a ReMarkable 2.

If you haven’t heard of these, they are a slimline tablet that you can write on that feels like paper.

It doesn’t have anything else on it – just the facility to write or scribble or do to do lists.

I was sceptical at first & so knowing it was coming I googled it & the reviews were mixed – most of them said it’s just an electronic notepad & said it as if it were a bad thing.

For me this is the best thing ever!

As someone who suffers from ADHD, I don’t need any more distractions.

And when I try to write on my iPad then there’s always something that grabs my attention & takes it away from what I am meant to be focusing on.

So what better tool for taking a clarity break & not getting distracted!

It can convert my notes into text or I can just create pdfs and send them to myself or to other people.

It’s not going to replace my rocketbook or my e-reader or my iPad or my laptop – but it is just perfect for taking notes, just like a pen and paper… without the paper 😊

So bye bye scribbled to do lists, bye bye post it notes & hello ReMarkable!

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

I think I need this more than anyone 😊
