As we head into another week, I take great pleasure in sharing my curated articles, tips & tools in a short read that will hopefully give you a few ‘aha’ moments as well as some laughter or joy. Most of all I hope it gives you pragmatic inspiration & helps you on your journey to doing what you love, with people you love, making a huge difference, being compensated appropriately with time to pursue other passions – #TheEOSLife.

Take the time to hire well…
Do you struggle with the hiring process?
Are your current team members in the right roles?
When hiring and letting staff go, what are your priorities? If the position needs filling urgently, there is a risk you will rush the process and won’t select the right person for the role.
Do you have difficulty when letting staff go? Do you have a process that enables a mutual and agreeable outcome?

Want to make a change?
It can be challenging to make changes in our personal or professional lives. You might want to change your job but can’t find a way to start the process. You may want to make a lifestyle change, but the process just seems too hard.
If you want to make a change in your life but you find yourself dreading the process or avoiding it because it’s too scary or too complicated, here are some valuable tips:
- Start with reflection: Sit with your thoughts for a while
- Examine your value system: what you believed in when you were younger might be different to what you value now
- Revisit (and rewrite) your goals: Our goals may shift and change as we grow.
- Work up the courage to change: It takes intentionality to make life changes
- Make your next move: Map out the next few steps; it doesn’t have to be drastic
- Get a coach or support person: It helps to have support from a family member or an outsider
- Keep checking in on yourself: If you fail, don’t be hard on yourself, mistakes happen, and you CAN try again
