Take the time to hire well…

Do you struggle with the hiring process?

Are your current team members in the right roles?

When hiring and letting staff go, what are your priorities? If the position needs filling urgently, there is a risk you will rush the process and won’t select the right person for the role.

Do you have difficulty when letting staff go? Do you have a process that enables a mutual and agreeable outcome?

The EOS System offers a unique approach to hiring, promoting and letting staff go. Using EOS you will go through a process to establish your company’s CORE VALUES. With these in view, the PEOPLE ANALYSER will tell you the following:

  • Does the person understand and align with your company’s core values?
  • Do they demonstrate the desire and ability to fulfil the role?

Within the EOS framework, these conversations will be had regularly. There won’t be any surprises because everyone participates in the EOS process.

Your staff will thank you for the transparency and enjoy being accountable in a role that best suits their talents and capabilities.

Want to make a change?

It can be challenging to make changes in our personal or professional lives. You might want to change your job but can’t find a way to start the process. You may want to make a lifestyle change, but the process just seems too hard.

If you want to make a change in your life but you find yourself dreading the process or avoiding it because it’s too scary or too complicated, here are some valuable tips:

  1. Start with reflection: Sit with your thoughts for a while
  2. Examine your value system: what you believed in when you were younger might be different to what you value now
  3. Revisit (and rewrite) your goals: Our goals may shift and change as we grow.
  4. Work up the courage to change: It takes intentionality to make life changes
  5. Make your next move: Map out the next few steps; it doesn’t have to be drastic
  6. Get a coach or support person: It helps to have support from a family member or an outsider
  7. Keep checking in on yourself: If you fail, don’t be hard on yourself, mistakes happen, and you CAN try again

Work-life balance

As well as being an expert in workplace retention, Dr Mark Stone is an accredited EOS™ implementer.

Like Debra, he is passionate about helping people in business to live their ‘best life’.

Mark speaks with Debra about the “Authentic Leadership” concept, where leaders and managers empower their people by being open and honest, enabling them to understand and participate in the company vision. He explains that the EOS process helps not only hire well but to retain the right people. Using the Accountability Chart and IDS process enables leaders and managers to ensure the right people are in the right roles and ensure they are supported to grow within the organisation.

“People are definitely a company’s greatest asset. It doesn’t make any difference whether the product is cars or cosmetics. A company is only as good as the people it keeps.”
