BETTER BUSINESS

Do you mentor your Managers?

When promoting employees to middle managers, mentoring and supporting them is essential for building a strong leadership pipeline within an organisation.

Middle managers are the backbone of any organisation and play a critical role in implementing the company’s strategy and achieving its goals. Therefore, investing in their development is vital to the organisation’s long-term success.

EOS® uses a proven development process, creating a cohesive and engaged team to drive performance and innovation, ensuring managers gain experience and develop their skills.

They can then be identified as potential candidates for higher-level leadership positions.

The EOS® tools enable you to effectively mentor your middle managers using the Accountability chart and the proven LMA process, a structured approach within the EOS® framework.

BETTER LIFE

RELAX, You’re on Holiday!

With Easter on the horizon, I’m sure, like us, many people are looking forward to a good break from the daily grind. However, many of us are becoming used to work encroaching on our home and personal lives, as technology enables us to work from home or even while we are away on holiday.

Here are six suggestions for a more relaxing holiday:

Plan ahead: Planning ahead can reduce stress and ensure you have everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Do your work before you leave, or delegate the rest if possible.

Disconnect from technology: Taking a break from technology can help you relax and enjoy your holiday more fully.

Get plenty of rest: A holiday is a great opportunity to catch up on sleep and rejuvenate your body and mind. The ideal is 7-8 hours per night, so put the devices and screens away and give your mind time to rest, ensuring your holiday includes good quality sleep.

Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness can help you stay present at the moment and reduce stress.

Engage in activities you enjoy: If you are an active relaxer, keep moving; lots of walks, sports and travel are great. Engaging in activities that you enjoy can help you relax and recharge.

Eat well and stay hydrated: Eating a healthy diet and staying hydrated can help you feel your best and stay energised during your holiday.

PODCAST OF THE WEEK

Build an unstoppable business

Amanda Barkey is an EOS implementer. Her husband, JoBen,  owns a successful franchise business. After hitting the ceiling with his school activities franchise, JoBen read TRACTION® , the book written by EOS developer Gino Wickman. It inspired Amanda to become an EOS implementer and JoBen to apply the principles of the EOS system to take their business beyond the constraints of multiplicity. JoBen was able to duplicate the business SOPs instead of losing control. They now run these successful family-friendly businesses and enjoy the fruits of that journey.
